The Institute is looking for students interested in gaining experience/credit working for a non-profit in the field of education. It focuses on school improvement by operating an annual week-long institute which brings together educators from across the US and Canada to New York. It also administers an award which honors schools that have significantly improved. We are in need of interns to assist in operations, sponsor-seeking, marketing, and technology throughout the year. ·      Manage incoming snail mail, calendar and email

·      Oversee fiscal management

·      Bookkeeping and audits

·      Assist with seeking funding

·      Maintain relationships with vendors and school districts

·      Prepare reports as needed

·      Secure speakers, panelists and moderators

·      Help creating the NPLI program

·      Manage the operations team (interns)

·      Set target districts and organizations

·      Support and follow-up with prospects

·      Build strategic partnerships with organizations that support a similar mission

·      Negotiate contracts for Institute locations (Walter Reade Theater and John Jay), food, hotel and travel, expeditionary sites, entertainment and audio-visual set-up

·      Coordinate marketing campaigns (social media, ads, eblast, website and print material)
