Career and Internship Advisor
The Career and Internship Advisor will report directly to the Assistant Director of Career Advising and Planning. The major responsibility of this position is serving as the primary Career and Internship advisor for the College of Engineering and Engineering Technology, as well as the promoter of experiential education (cooperative education and internships) to students and faculty.
This individual will assist the overall office functioning by providing one-on-one advisement with students, and by offering programming in career development for the assigned College. This individual will work collaboratively with the Assistant Director of Career Advising and Planning, as well as other Career and Internship Advisors, to orchestrate the cooperative education and internship program on the Marietta Campus.
Day-to-day tasks might include individual advisement sessions with students, resume reviews, meetings with faculty and other campus staff members, presenting departmental information in classroom contexts or in workshops, assisting with the Job & Internship Fairs and other departmental events, and meeting with employers to better understand their hiring needs. This position is an 8:00a.m.-5:00p.m. position, but occasional evening hours might be required (very sporadically).
