Seeking: Assistant Director for External Partnerships
Serve on the Career Center’s leadership team, implementing university's Career Success Action Plan,
leading efforts to educate and engage the campus in career preparation, and in building a more
multiculturally competent community. Lead and/or oversee Career Center’s identification, cultivation
and engagement efforts with employers, internship sites and job shadowing hosts. Organize
information, people, logistics and processes toward expanding student/employer interactions (e.g.,
mentoring, internships, job shadowing, career fairs, on-campus interviewing, information sessions and
related programs). Supervise two career development counselors. Reports to Career Center Director.
Master’s degree in related field and 3-5 years progressively responsible experience required. Emotional
intelligence, relationship building, event planning, marketing, analysis, problem solving, team building,
assessment and information management skills required. Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently
in a busy, highly productive team. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and to fostering a
welcoming and inclusive environment. Ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours.
