A South Florida University is seeking a highly a motivated individual, self-starter to perform the duties and responsibilities as HVAC Technician for the Facilities Department. Working independently, individual would respond to Heating and Air Conditioning work request and project needs to maintain a comfortable and clean environment in which to live and learn. To include general equipment maintenance, development equipment specifications for replacement, manage the Energy Management System, conduct preventative maintenance of HVAC equipment to include, air filters, belt, pumps, motors and equipment cleaning to ensure a long life. National Management Resources specializes in providing contracted, professional facilities management services to private institutions of higher education.
Applicant qualifications: ~ Bachelor’s degree or trade certifications preferred; high school diploma accepted with work experience.~ Two years of HVAC experience.~ Proficiency in managing inventory and maintain a clean and organize shop.~ Detail oriented, excellent written and verbal communication skills.~ Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people.~ Self-Motivated and able to work independently and multi-task in high energy environment~ Ability to exercise good judgment in determining work priorities and problem solving.~ Flexible, friendly attitude.~Participate in on-call weekend rotation to respond to school needs.~ Applicant must be able to pass pre-employment screening and background check.~Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
